Just when you think 365Mexico can’t get any cooler, here comes the new 365Mexico toolbar!  Pretty good for a guy who is still impressed with color television…

June 14, 2007

We are feeling very clever here at 365Mexico, now that we are offering our very own toolbar for download.  It’s free, it takes up just a little space, and it has the keenest features in the universe!

First off, there’s a 365Mexico button, so you don’t have to remember our address or look for us in your bookmarks every day when you want to visit.

There’s a search engine box, which sounds ho-hum but just wait.  Type in Guadalajara.  You can search Guadalajara in Google, or in 365Mexico, or in whatever website you are now visiting.  Or you can click Weather to see the temperature here, or Dictionary to see if you spelled it right (all those “a’s”!).  You can even click eBay to see what Guadalajara-related items are offered on auction.  The Encyclopedia button gives you the entry for our city, and the Images button—well, you guessed it.  Fantastic!

But wait—there’s also a Feeds button, loaded with news stories.  Just pick your media—The New York Times or CNN or the BBC—and get all their breaking stories, fast.  If I ever figure out RSS feeds, you will soon be able to click on 365Mexico for the latest post, without opening the site.  It’s speedy and easy!

The message button is as cool as a Space Cadet secret decoder ring.  I can write a message to everyone who has our toolbar, and they can write back—kind of like chat, but slower.  I’m not too sure it is useful, except to announce a new post maybe, but it is fabulous and I want it and will figure out what it does later.

The Radio button I get, and use a lot.  You can add your own stations, just be tasteful.  Of course you can get Internet radio lots of other places (like RealPlayer) but you have to open a page to do it.  Now you can have radio direct from your toolbar.

Then there’s a button to let you know if you have new mail, and another one that tells you the weather here in Guadalajara so you can be jealous (or you can change it to your city).

All in all, one of the best free things you will find all week.  I’ve been using the toolbar for a month, and just love it.  I have the Google toolbar too, and it is great, but the 365Mexico toolbar is better.  Or at least different (I don’t want them to feel threatened or anything).

The download is fast, easy, and safe.  Try it today, and tell all your friends!
