We had quite a hail storm, just as our new park trees were delivered.  It was quite unexpected–it never rains here in April!  Global warming is affecting us here in Guadalajara, too.  You used to be able to set your watch by the weather–it was very stable.  But Winter started a month early this year, and summer started 6 weeks early.  It is raining in dry season.  What’s next?

We have shade cloth on the back patio, so the orchids, bromeliads, and carnivorous plants were fine.

Hail damage on limes

Silvia and Pablo had some hail damage to their limies--both the fruit and the leaves. You can always tell hail damage from insect damage on fruit--hail damage is only on the top side.
